  Joseph Rodelli was the best!! I have never bought from a dealership before and he made the process enjoyable and exciting.   I made the decision to buy a pre-owned VW Tiguan 2.0T SE 4Motion Panoramic Roof, after a week of online research sites commonly used in auto shopping. I'm a Hudson Valley resident and wanted to stay local. Romeo VW had 4 pre-owned Tiguan SEs in stock that made my cut to get a closer look. This past Saturday was a steady rainy day, best for farmers and ducks but I was determined to make it a great day. I entered…

  the showroom, scanned the entire space and to my surprise it was buzzing with activity. I waited like 15 minutes when an extended handshake belonging to Joe R. greeted my son and I. Joe didn't hesitate to learn I had a specific target list in mind and went through it to get the latest status of availability. He came back with 2 keys and an update several Tiguan SEs have been sold or pending and we can take these out for a test drive. The first was a 2020 SE no Pana Roof but handled like it neutralized the rain. We {my son & I) both took turns at the wheel and agreed the drive was impressive. My only objection was the missing Pana Roof. Joe moved on to the 2nd key, wanting to get the other test drive in before time runs out to recap, assess & close. This Tiguan was a 2019 SEL Premium (not on my radar) with Pana Roof and all the safety & tech options in White. Here is where I thought that Joe R. was trying to 'upsell' me. The drive was better than the SE model, if that was even possible but... It was and the SEL and I bonded. We got back to his desk and we recapped everything, he stated the SEL is higher priced as I expected but not by much considering it had the Pana Roof I wanted and more. The sales manager - Anthony #s were fair but I counted with my # and an unexpected trade (the car I drive there with) to make up for the difference in the SEL Premium price. All parties agreed with a handshake and smiles all around. This was the 'AHA' moment when I realized Joe R. wasn't 'upselling' me. He was managing my expectations with the inventory he had to work with and the 'Newbie' (his own words) got me the Tiguan I was looking for. This purchase was done on my terms with the supporting cast at Romeo VW. The dreary raining cats & dogs day turned into a Great Day... Kudos to you Joe R, Anthony and Jason!
