Local in Sag Harbor, and we had an emergency and Gregs really came through for us. They squeezed us in on incredibly short notice and really helped us out!!! Fast, extremely professional, and knowledgeable. Very grateful!!! 🙏🙏 Highly recommend!!!!!

Drove my car in to get the coolant system checked predominantly, as well as other brake/clutch checks as it's a vintage car and I wanted to make sure all was good. I went inside and handed the front desk man (who was very nice) the list of things I wanted done, noting that if they only had time to check the overheating issue then that's fine with me. He called Greg who said I could leave the car there for them to…

work on. I left and got on a train out of town. 15 minutes later I got a call from them saying they don't have time for the work I want done and since it's "not my primary vehicle" (never said that to them, and actually don't have another vehicle) it's a winter project and not something they could do now. Asked if they could check my coolant at least, he said no since it's not an emergency. Then since I was already on a train and couldn't turn around, he said he'd charge me $35 per day if I can't come get it - I dropped it on a tuesday afternoon and would pick up thursday morning and somehow that counts as 3 full days. I said it was their mistake accepting the car in the first place then and he then charged me $30 to drive it back to my house 0.2 miles away. Truly don't care about customers or admitting when they were the ones mistaken.

This isn’t your typical grease-and-grit garage. Greg’s place is part repair shop, part museum, part roadside carnival of curiosities. Everywhere you look there are colorful nicknacks, old cars with more stories than most people, and little details that make you wonder if you stumbled into a mechanic’s dreamscape. Greg himself? Definitely not your typical mechanic. He’s part car whisperer, part showman, and part…

philosopher on four wheels. He’ll fix your engine, sure, but he might also teach you something about patience, timing, or why life’s better when your ride actually starts in the morning. The space has this electric vibe — alive with laughter, tools clinking, and the sense that something interesting is always happening. It’s less “waiting room dread” and more “Sag Harbor’s best-kept secret hangout spot… that also happens to fix cars.” If you’re tired of cookie-cutter garages and want an experience that’s as colorful as the nicknacks on the wall, this is your place. Greg’s the real deal — one of a kind.

I called beforehand to schedule an inspection appointment, which Greg gave me at 4 pm. I come in at 4, everything goes well, and I go to pay, and the bill comes out to $100. The regular charge should’ve just been $37, but since I “didn’t” have an appointment, according to the owner, Greg, he had to charge me for “Express Inspection,” not to mention he didn’t even have a receipt ready to give me; I had to ask him for…

one. He then told me, yelling at me, “I told you it would be a $100 charge because you don't have an appointment.” Not only did he lie, but he scammed me. Not to mention, I’ve been here before for another vehicle of mine; I made the appointment the same day and was only charged $37. Don’t come here and save your money, not to mention he’s rude to his workers.
