  My partner took our car to get a NY inspection for the DMV after Monro attempted to hold passing the vehicle if it meant they could sell someone they saw as inexperienced a new set of brakes. Northern Equipment never made passing the DMV required inspection dependent upon a purchase, as Monro had. They stuck to the state requirements and did not attempt to upsell, break the vehicle, or otherwise push my partner into…

  repairs they didn't need. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and addressed each concern that my disabled veteran partner brought up to them. Our vehicle passed the inspection within the same hour it was brought in. I have no clue if the owners or technicians every see these reviews. But, if any of you do, thank you. You made a very scary and very upsetting process much easier for our family and for my veteran.

  First appointment they weren't at the shop waited for 15 minute 2nd appointment waited for over 35 minutes third appointment waited 20 minutes fourth appointment I was yelled at by owner for dropping my vehicle off at 8 am as planned previously. I could keep going but there's way to much to post. After spending over 500 dollars on an oil change and an inspection to wich they couldn't clear the code..I was again told…

  to bring it back at my leisure anytime on a specific date. Once that date came they lied again and changed what time they wanted to open . When I asked for receipt from mechanic he told me im ignorant and needed to talk to owner. After speaking with owner he offered me 100 dollars back for a censor they charged me 100 dollars for that I never got a receipt for. I told him I needed all receipts for labor and parts so I can bring truck elsewhere. Owner completely blew up stating he never wanted me in there again as if I was impatient or unreasonable lol terrible terrible people to do business with.
