Dealership from Hell on multiple occasions! I want to preface this-my sales guy Nick has absolutely nothing to do with this review. His service was 10/10. My issue is with the back departments service and body shop. I purchased a 2026 Chevy Tahoe z71, a couple weeks after we bought it we noticed a paint bubble on the back right side. Ok no big deal they said it was due to when the car was manufactured. So an…

appointment gets scheduled and I am told 2-3 days max. Ok not a problem because I want the work done right as anyone else would. No loaner car offered after spending almost 100k with them, no call for follow ups unless I called them, and finally after probably annoying them because it had been 6 days now without my car I finally got it back…. WITH A CHUNK OF PAINT MISSING and a shitty “cover up” job done by whoever was careless enough to scratch it. Ok accidents happen.. yes I understand, however nobody said anything about it. They sent me home without mentioning it of course. After we find the scratch the next morning and call the manager now, I am told we need to wait for the Syracuse nationals to be over with so that they can offer me a rental etc. OK again not an issue I can wait… so I wait an entire week, mind you the car show was over now for 4 days. So I call and ask what’s going on, I’m given the run around of course but I got an appointment and told that they’ll hopefully have a rental this time around. Car is fixed- no issues. In 2021 I bought a brand new Chevy traverse from this same dealership who was careless enough to slice through my brand new car headliner while taking the plastic off, so careless that it couldn’t even be fixed back to new condition and they had to take that brand new car back and give me another new one. The same traverse transmission went this year which is why I ended up with the Tahoe due to no appointments, I was stuck with a maguire dealership for warranty, AND not a single loaner car offered, when my appointment finally came for transmission work- it was getting pushed out further than the estimated 2 months. Thankfully I had been able to trade my car in and get a new one but what if I hadn’t been able to, not everyone has the means for that!!! Then they have the nerve to say if there’s anything they can be of service for to let them know. JOKE. Absolutely no help when I had no transportation on multiple occasions. WHY are we allowing such careless acts? Why is it that when an appointment is given whether it be service or body shop that it’s not done on the appointment time or within the estimated time. The communication is probably a solid 1/10, and it seems like they should be hiring for a new manager for the service dept/body shop because not a soul is paying attention to the quality of work actually being done. It’s sad because I trusted this dealership again and they absolutely ruined it. I do NOT recommend maguire Chevy baldwinsville and I will no longer be a customer of theirs.

Nick did an amazing job of finding me what I wanted and I got more than I asked for at the same price we negotiated which was fantastic. I love my new truck and would recommend Nick at Maguire without a doubt.

I just wanted to take time to write a review about my experience with the car dealer who sold me my vehicle… His name is Nick Alton! He was so friendly, helpful, and went over and above to ease my mind on question’s I had. He lowered prices where he could and explained thing’s to me with simplicity. He helped and continues to help me on everything I am unsure about my new vehicle and doesn’t seem to be bothered by…

any repetitive question’s I have! He has shared and continues to share insight about how to manage my payment’s better getting more with my money! Like I said… the whole process is overwhelming, but he reassures me he will be there anytime for any question like he has been so far. It really is comforting to know that he cares about the whole process and how comfortable I am through the whole thing… Excellent customer service from Nick in a world where it’s so hard to find these day’s! I hope he is being paid well and is recognized by his higher up’s… He is an asset! I thank him very much!!! 🙂

Well, no one ever wants to need a body shop, but if it happens, I highly recommend Maguire Body Shop. We had a unique situation where both our cars were involved while parked, and they handled both repairs at once. Emily and her whole team were professional, communicative, and the repair quality was outstanding. Highly recommend!

This place is to avoid at all costs. I arrived for my appointment, to find that I was not on the schedule. I live 40 miles from the dealership, so that was super convenient. They would not fit me in for a check engine light. I returned several days later unfortunately, left the vehicle, was able to be shuttled halfway home from Baldwinsville in a snowstorm- and was left to figure out what to do from there. The…

second time I was there for service, at least the appointment existed, but looking back now I definitely wish it hadn't. Code left for Auxiliary coolant pump. Pay $200 diagnostic fee, drive vehicle 40 miles home. (I was told to use this store rather than the Maguire I bought the vehicle at, because this is a Chevy dealer.) I was told they will call to schedule another appointment when they find out about warranty. Round 3: Calls to tell me work would not be covered under extended warranty, "part not covered." I call Portfolio, the warranty company to find out why. She says it's because this would be covered under Powertrain, as I am at 41,000 miles. Call Maguire back to tell Tyler. He disagrees, saying that I have too many miles for Powertrain, tells me he thought my mileage was 66,000. I have no idea where he got that number from, as he had my paperwork stating 41,000 miles, generated by his system. He will call them and get back to me. Maguire Tyler calls me back, says no.. this won't be covered under Powertrain. Portfolio WILL cover this now- something about a General Motors Policy, as this is actually an emissions code. (How did we not know this before??) 🥴 I am unfortunately "scheduled" to get this part fixed, once it comes in from Philadelphia. (I'm "hoping" I actually made it on Maguire's schedule and I don't drive there for nothing again.) Wait a few more weeks to find out. In summary, I would avoid this dealership at all costs, maybe even avoid buying a Chevy. This has been weeks of misery and this service has been atrocious. No loaner vehicle, no ride home, scheduling issues, mis-information, poor customer service and warranty-related problems due to poor communication. I would NOT go here if there is any other service place within 4,000 miles of you.
