I had a wonderful experience purchasing my vehicle from this dealership. I originally wasn't planning to buy a car from this location, but the excellent customer service changed my mind. My sales associate, John Grega, was friendly, knowledgeable, and never made me feel pressured. He took the time to answer my questions and helped make the process smooth and stress-free. The finance manager, Paul Hoffman, was…

equally helpful and kind, explaining everything clearly and making sure I was comfortable throughout the process. What stood out most was how both of them included my young daughter in the conversation. They made her feel welcome by giving her paper and pens to keep her occupied, which I greatly appreciated as a parent. The entire experience was professional, comfortable, and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle and a genuinely positive buying experience.

Response from the owner · June 25, 2026: Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Friendly Honda. We appreciate your recommendation and are glad our team made the process comfortable for you and your daughter.

I have to say we had a great experience. I’ve never really enjoyed the experience of buying a new car very much, but this time my wife and I really did. Our salesman , Jonathan was knowledgeable , friendly and very skillful in guiding us through the process of deciding what we needed/wanted without us feeling any pressure. Everyone in the place made us feel comfortable the whole time we were there. The part of…

buying a car that I have always liked the least is at the end when you go in and meet with the financial person who presents you with all the warranty type options. This time the man who worked with us was very helpful with all the options in a tv very helpful way any feeling that we being pushed into something we didn’t want or need.

Response from the owner · February 12, 2026: Thank you, Christine! It's wonderful to hear that you and your wife had such a positive car buying experience. We're glad that Jonathan and our financial team made you feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. Your feedback means a lot to us, and we truly appreciate you! Thanks again and drive safely!

We bought a used 2022 Kia Sorento here, about 2 hours away from home. The price was better than anything else in the area. Everyone at the dealership was nice and helpful, especially our salesperson Nailah. We love the car. Thanks again!

I messaged several dealers when beginning my journey to purchase a Civic Type R. Christian was by far the most prompt to my online inquiry. He was very responsive and worked with me to converge on a deal that I was happy with. Christian's agility to provide updated (and competitive) price quotes, had a measureable and direct effect on me ultimately choosing Friendly Honda. Once the price was agreed upon, I was…

transfered to Jonathan who was also very communicative, prompt, and receptive to my requests. I live out of state and wished only to travel to the dealership to sign paperwork. Jonathan made every effort to ensure that request was met. He swiftly liasoned between financing and my insurance company in order to make the transaction as smooth as possible. I never once felt pressured or that "games" were playing played. Throughout the process, I was constantly surprised/impressed with how quickly, efficiently, and professional my entire Type R purchasing experience was at Friendly Honda. Thanks Guys!

Response from the owner · March 18, 2026: Thank you for sharing your detailed experience with Friendly Honda. We're glad our team could assist so effectively with your Civic Type R purchase. We appreciate your feedback.

We had a very disappointing experience with Friendly Honda of Poughkeepsie and ultimately walked away from purchasing a brand new 2026 Honda Passport Elite. At first, everything seemed great, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and we were excited to move forward with buying a beautiful ash green Passport with gray/black interior. We completed all the paperwork and scheduled a pickup date, expecting a smooth…

delivery of a brand new vehicle. When we arrived to pick up the car, we were shocked. The interior was filthy — covered in mud, dust, and footprints. There were scrapes/chips in the interior paint near the doors, a chip in the steering wheel, and multiple noticeable scratches throughout the cabin and trunk. On top of that, the exterior had significant damage, including deep scratches on the bumper, the driver-side mirror, and the tire well — not minor marks, but scratches where the plastic was peeling. We were understandably upset that a brand new $56,000 vehicle had not been properly inspected, cleaned, or prepared. After hours of back-and-forth, the dealership agreed to replace the damaged exterior parts, which is something that should have been done before we ever arrived. When we asked what they would do to compensate us for the inconvenience and poor experience, they initially refused and only offered us minor service credits. After a long negotiation, they only agreed to take $1,500 off for the interior damage that could not be fixed which we thought was fair. The situation got worse. After waiting over a week and a half, confirming everything was ready, and preparing to finally pick up the car, we were told at the last minute that there was now a significant scratch in one of the windows, requiring a full replacement. We were given the option to either take the car and come back again later to have the window replaced (another major inconvenience), or wait even longer. At this point, in my opinion - this is no longer a new vehicle with 4 replaced parts and a service history. When we again asked what they would do to make this right after everything we had already been through, they refused to offer anything further. At that point, we walked away. This was an incredibly frustrating and disheartening experience. We were patient, reasonable, and excited to make a major purchase — and instead were met with poor quality control, repeated issues, and a lack of accountability. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle here. And I would strongly encourage anyone considering a “new” vehicle from this dealership to inspect it very carefully, as our experience suggests these vehicles may not be in truly new condition despite being sold as such. I also feel concerned for whoever ultimately purchases the Ash Green 2026 Passport with the gray/black interior that we had selected. This vehicle is not truly “new” — it has already had damage and multiple parts replaced, and I question whether that will be fully disclosed to the next buyer. Overall, we are extremely disappointed with this experience and the level of professionalism we encountered. As a business owner myself - I would never want anyone walking away with this experience and would have bent over backwards to make things right for a customer that had gone through what we had. It feels that the focus at this dealership is more on completing the sale than on transparency and customer experience, which is not the kind of business we feel comfortable supporting.

Response from the owner · April 17, 2026: Hi Jessica. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear how disappointed and frustrated you felt — buying a new vehicle should be exciting, and it’s clear this process fell short of your expectations. When concerns were raised about the condition of the vehicle, our team immediately inspected the Passport, documented the issues, and committed to replacing the exterior components that did not meet our standards. Those parts were ordered directly from Honda, and we kept you updated throughout the process. We also agreed to a $1,500 adjustment for interior cosmetic imperfections that could not be remedied — an offer made in good faith to acknowledge the inconvenience. Regarding the window scratch discovered before your second scheduled pickup: that damage occurred while the vehicle was still in our possession, and we took full responsibility for replacing the glass at no cost to you. We understand how frustrating it was to experience another delay, but we believed it was the right thing to do to ensure the vehicle met “new car” standards before delivery. At every step, our intention was to make the situation right, not to minimize your concerns or avoid accountability. We never want a customer to feel unheard or unsupported, and we regret that our efforts did not restore your confidence in the process. We appreciate your feedback, and we’re always working to improve. If you’d like to continue the conversation directly, we’re more than willing to do so — our goal is always to earn trust, not lose it.
