I would never recommend buying a Hyundai. The service is terrible. They sent me away without fixing my brakes, even though they weren’t working properly. Now they’re telling me to leave my car there for two weeks just so they can run diagnostics, and they haven’t even said when they’ll repair it. They won’t even provide a loaner car while mine is in the shop. I do not recommend buying a Hyundai at all. Their…
customer service is 0/10. And right now, my brakes are not working properly. They let me leave the dealership without fixing them, even though it’s extremely dangerous to drive a car with faulty brakes. They didn’t seem to care about my safety at all. I would never recommend buying a Hyundai based on this experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a very bad experience with this dealership back in 2022 under the previous ownership. When my leased car was due for inspection, I was told it needed a cabin air filter. Since my lease was about to end, I decided not to replace it at the time because I wasn’t sure if I was going to buy the car or return it. I eventually decided to purchase the car and brought it back to the dealership in January 2022…
for the sole purpose of replacing that filter. While checking in, I casually mentioned that I had decided to buy the car and wanted to make sure it would last me for years. The service advisor immediately tried to sell me about $1,200 worth of additional repairs. I politely declined and told him I only wanted the cabin air filter replaced. While I was waiting, the same advisor called me out to the service area and brought me into an office where a female employee introduced herself and began telling me I needed new brakes and probably rotors. She said that “we live near the sea,” that the salt air affects the brakes, and talked about stop-and-go driving. I found it odd because she didn’t know anything about my driving habits or where I lived. She then quoted me approximately $4,000 to replace my brakes and rotors. It felt like the advisor’s approach was to have a female representative explain the situation in a way that he thought might make me more likely to agree and say, “OK, do the work.” I couldn’t understand why they were even inspecting my brakes when I had only authorized them to replace the cabin air filter. I declined again and left feeling like they were trying to sell me work I hadn’t requested. After that, I took my car to my trusted mechanic. He completed the repairs I actually needed for about $700 instead of the dealership’s $1,200 estimate. He also confirmed that my brakes and rotors were perfectly fine. When my brakes actually did need to be replaced in 2024, the cost was nowhere near $4,000, and even then, my rotors still did not need replacement. Fast forward to 2026, I was overdue for my annual inspection. My mechanic wasn’t available, so I reluctantly returned to the dealership, expecting the same experience. Instead, I found out it was under new ownership, and the difference was night and day. My inspection was completed with no pressure, no unnecessary upselling, and no attempt to sell me repairs I didn’t need. The owner was friendly, checked on me while I waited, and even offered me something to eat or drink. Although the inspection took a little longer than expected, the waiting area was comfortable and air-conditioned, so I didn’t mind. Because of the new ownership and the honest, respectful service I received this time, I’m happy to give them five stars. It’s clear this is not the same dealership it was a few years ago, and I truly appreciate the professionalism and integrity of the new team.

Probably the worst repair center in all of nyc. My trunk would randomly open for no reason. One time someone robbed my tools out of my trunk. I came here to get it fixed, they told me they inspected it and nothing was wrong. A few months later, it opens again. This time in the middle of a snow storm and everything in my trunk was destroyed. Then my engine completely blew out, white smoke everywhere. I brought it to…
this atrocious "repair center" and they didn't even offer me a loaner vehicle. I had to use my mother's car to get to work while she lost money working. Then they told me they wouldn't repair the vehicle even though there was an open recall on it because there was no code... even though my engine was engulfed in smoke just prior. To top it all off, they didn't even reimburse the towing fee. Absolutely the worst. Avoid this repair center and all Genesis/Hyundai vehicles like the plague. Their GDI motors are horrible. Every mechanic will tell you that all they ever fix is Hyundai motors, it's their biggest money maker. Selling this car and never buying another piece of garbage Genesis ever again. And most importantly, this way I don't have to deal with this place and the employees self entitled attitude problems. Oh and one last thing, in order for them to inspect the part which has an OPEN RECALL on, they want to charge me $350 to inspect it. So let me get this straight Genesis, you made a faulty car, which caused my engine to nearly be engulfed in flames, and in order to inspect the part which caused all of this, y'know... the part which there is an OPEN RECALL for... you're trying to charge me $350 to inspect it. Goodbye Genesis. Never again, and hopefully anyone reading this who was planning on buying a hyundai/kia/genesis changes their mind and gets a real car because all of their motors are the same just repackaged under a different chassis.

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had in having a car serviced. I dropped my car off in December after changing the battery and car not starting properly afterwards. I was told up front that they were busy and would be at least a week before they were able to look at it. I had no problem with that and trusted them with my car. A couple of weeks went by with no contact from the service center so I made…
several attempts to get a status update, starting with the number on the service receipt I received. There was no answer so a voicemail was left. After not receiving a response I continued to reach out while looking for additional contacts including the dealership. I left several voicemails across several contacts but couldn't get a response. A month had passed and I still hadn't received a single update regarding my car. I went to the dealership to talk to the service manager in person. He remembered me from when I dropped the car off but seemed surprised that they still had the car. He couldn't give me any update on the car, only saying that a mechanic looked at it but hadn't made any formal updates. He said he would get to the bottom of it and get back to me later in the day, unfortunately I never heard from him again. I continued to call any number I could find but still couldn't get anyone to respond. After doing some research I was able to locate contact information for the general manager. I sent a detailed email explaining the situation and he quickly responded stating that he was going to the service center to find the car and get a better understanding of why the car was still there. He stated that they were waiting on a part, which turned out to be a bracket to hold the battery in place, and should arrive in a day. I was hoping to get continued updates but could no longer get an update from anyone, including the general manager. After sending another email to the general manager I randomly received a call a few of days ago (Feb 15) to pickup the car. I was told I had to pay $221 dollars for what amounted to an hour or less of work with a minimal discount, of any. I attempted to speak to a new service manager (previous one was no longer there) to explain the situation and that there was no justifiable reason to have held my car for 2 months (with no communication) to complete an hours worth of work. The manager essentially blamed everything on the previous manager and that he still had to charge he full price for the minimal work that was done, claiming that the work had been completed weeks prior. I'm happy to finally have my car back but highly recommend that people look elsewhere if their looking for a reputable service center. These guys have shown that they do not care about their customers and will treat them and their property like trash. The car was in horrible condition when I received it, with the seats in odd positions, trash spread about the inside (photo included). I suspect that people at the service center were using the car for personal travel but didn't record the exact mileage before dropping off. If I could rate them a 0 I would as a 1 is to generous for the experience I had. I do plan on making a formal complaint to Hyundai Corporate as this type of service should not be tolerated on any level.

I’m Originally from Maryland and was here visiting family when all of a sudden I have having problems charging my EV So I brought it in to Hyundai Service as an Emergency bc I was running out of charge and couldn’t charge my vehicle. Here I met Faddy, who was very kind and courteous and assisted me in fixing my EV and got me back on the Road. Thank you so much Faddy and everyone here at Hyundai for assisting me.

What a terrible experience and sloppy work. Brought my new car to get detailed (minor scuffs and stains when they sold it to me) and while I was pointing out areas to clean up, a mechanic drove a different car off a lift and rammed into my car (see photos). Took 1.5 months to “fix”, but the work was so sloppy (beat up headlight, bad paint job) and unacceptable so they reluctantly took it back to fix again. The…
service director had the audacity to speak to us with an attitude as if we were the ones that hit their car when in fact this was their entire fault. It took another month before the car was properly fixed and returned, but now my EZ Pass is missing and was used by someone at their shop. Surprised at how poor the services are given how much we paid for the car and what was supposed to be a reputable luxury dealership. Save yourself the trouble of having bad work done to your car and the headaches that come with it and go somewhere else.
