  We worked with Diana at McGovern Volvo. She is, in a word, excellent. We had test driven BMW, Lexus, Genesis, and Audi luxury SUVs, among others. The first time we went into the Volvo dealership, we met Diana, sat in a couple cars, and left. She left a positive impression — warm, smiled, wished us well. We honestly didn't think we'd be back, because we didn't immediately fall in love with the cars we looked…

  at. Then, a few days later, we stumbled on a YouTube video about the best luxury SUVs. Turns out that for us, a certain model Volvo checked all the boxes for us — quiet interior, very fast, super comfortable seats, PHEV. Volvo today is a different brand than I remember as a kid. It was Diana that made the difference for us. I was (and still am) extremely cautious about car salespeople and managers. If 0 is being honest and is 10 is lying, I've found most car salespeople operate at about a 9.5. Diana is different. Diana was up front and honest with us throughout the process. That's not to say she immediately gave us the best deal — there was a conversation and some back and forth via email before we landed on a number. Due to a lot of research on my part, for the first time in my car buying career, I know in a general sense how much both sides made on the deal, and I feel the result is eminently fair. Good people deserve to be well compensated for their work. Car salespeople are people too. The job isn't easy. I'd like to give Carlos, the finance manager, credit for not trying to exert undue pressure when I declined the protection plan for our car. When buying my last car at Keeler, they snuck it in even after I tried to decline, which resulted in some unpleasantness before my money was eventually refunded. Carlos allowed me time to read the contract thoroughly and didn't try to sneak anything past me. Thank you, Carlos! Obviously we wouldn't have bought a car we didn't love. But we wouldn't have bought it from a salesperson we didn't like or trust, either. Diana never gave me a reason to doubt her integrity; never fudged numbers; never lied to me. We are grateful for her help and hope her exceptional work is recognized by the team at McGovern and Volvo as a whole.
