After an accident which totaled our daughter’s vehicle, we began a search for a replacement vehicle. Not sure exactly what she wanted and after visiting several dealerships both foreign and domestic, we went to Goldstein GMC in Colonie. After wandering through the lot and looking at several SUVs of various sizes and shapes, we went inside and were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist who asked if she could help.…
Told her we wanted to speak with a sales person. She referred us to a young man with a big smile who asked if he could help. His name was (and is!) Olu Edu. He asked us to sit and patiently listened our story and the need for a new ride…a new SUV. He patiently went over the features of both the Acadia and the Terrain; the Acadia being the larger of the two. Daughter was convinced she wanted the bigger of the two. Olu explained the pros and cons of each model then took her for a considerable test drive in both. After the drives and Olu’s explanation of the features of the Terrain, she opted for that model. I’ve bought many cars in my time but don’t think I’ve ever experienced the time and clarity Olu demonstrated in helping her make decision. The actual purchase process was seamless. The price was fair and between Olu and Goldstein business office staff was a most pleasant experience. Kudos to Olu and the Goldstein family for a very positive experience.
Response from the owner · June 12, 2026: We are so glad you enjoyed working with Olu and the team! We will be sure to share your kind words with them! Please let us know if we can ever help you in the future. - TThomas★☆☆☆☆ July 21, 2026
Terrible . Went in for an add they were running on a gmc sierra , get there to find out the one they had me test drive and wanted is not the one from the add , it was 300 more a month . Negotiated a price ; the day u pick up the truck they tried to give me a blue truck when I asked and agreed to black they told me it was blue black . I refused to take possession of the truck . Mind you I had already signed the…
paperwork and they switched my vehicle over without showing me the vehicle again which tells me they knew . The one I wanted and “ paid for “ was at another dealership so I had to wait a few more days without a vehicle and because my insurance had to switch to a third vehicle in 3 days my insurance went up for the year . 6 months later I make an appointment for my oil change I get there and the reservation didn’t exists anymore and wasted 4 hours of my day . Will never go back
Response from the owner · July 22, 2026: Hello Thomas, We are very sorry you are still upset about your experience with our former sales consultant 1.5 years ago. Once our management team found out about the error in color we did find a vehicle for you at another location since we did not have the exact color in stock. We did also address the issue with our sales team. We were unaware of any issues with you in service, but if you would like to give us a 2nd chance to help maintain your vehicle please let us know. Also, if you ever feel you are not being treated correctly, please speak to any of our managers in sales or service and we will be happy to address your concerns right away. - SShireen★★★★★ July 13, 2026
You don’t have to be afraid that you’re gonna get ripped off when you go into Goldstein Buick. I had the immense pleasure of having Scott as my technician who kept me up-to-date, walked me through everything, and was just a really good guy. I knew that my car would be taken care of and I also knew that he was honest and straight forward. What an absolute pleasure, I will definitely bring my Buick back to see Scott!…
A+++

Have a great day! - MMelissa★☆☆☆☆ August 3, 2026
I will never use this service department ever AGAIN! They told me they replaced my valve body on my 2023 GMC Sierra to only find out when we were driving it to Ohio that it was actually never replaced. Luckily I was able to get it to a local family GMC Dealership in OH where they told me they would have to order me a new valve body because its clear they did not replace the one on my truck and whomever rebuilt the…
Valve Body together DID NOT do it right! so now my truck is in OH getting worked on and hopefully GM can get it towed up to me!
Response from the owner · August 13, 2026: Hello Melissa, We are very sorry to hear you have an issue with your truck while you are out of town. You are correct, we did not replace the valve body when you brought your vehicle to us for a check engine light on June 20th. We did service the truck with a valve body overhaul kit which is what GM suggests for the issue. After this was done the vehicle was checked and tested and was found to be operating correctly. The check engine light was off and it appears has run without issue since then. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance once the vehicle is back in this area. - MMike★★★★★ April 16, 2026
Jason and all the service representatives were very helpful in getting my car in as soon as possible and the problems identified and fixed. Even the repair technician came out to discuss the issue with me personally and explain what the cause was and how to fix it. They also worked very closely with my 3rd party warranty company to get as much covered as possible. Very helpful. Would recommend them for any GM/Buick…
issue.
Response from the owner · April 17, 2026: Thanks for highlighting some of our staff who helped make this such a great experience. Feel free to reach out to us if you need anything. Have a wonderful day. - TTim★☆☆☆☆ April 28, 2026
Edit : In response to dealer’s claim underneath ~ “When the technician looked into your concern, he did notice on top of both leaf springs there is overspray and when he wiped the top of these with his finger it came out covered in undercoating” Attached is a picture of the spring, and my hand after rubbing the top of it. There is clearly no over spray. The springs were pressure washed when the noise was first…
heard 2 weeks ago. I was the one who applied the rust proofing, and never sprayed the springs in the first place as I didn’t remove the wheels. Your technician was lazy and now you’re lying. Service advisor at scheduled dealer heard the noise over the phone and assured me it will be addressed. He actually mentioned a GM Technical Service Bulletin directly relating to the issue. Dropped truck off for maintenance along with diagnosis of creeking noise coming from the leaf springs. Maintenance was completed accordingly and alignment was spot on. As for the noise, “technician found undercarriage rust proofing on leaf springs, no noise heard during testing, overspray on springs may cause concern” It’s not a quiet noise, it sounds like a rotted out 20 year old truck. Over the first bump pulling out of the parking lot, I heard the noise. I got the truck home, I put slight pressure on the bedside, heard the noise. I stepped on the bumper, heard the noise. I shook the tailgate, heard the noise. I slid under the truck myself, there is NO overspray on either leaf spring assembly. Completely dry to the touch. Spent $700 and the main concern of the visit couldn’t even be acknowledged. Truck has an appointment with another GMC dealer, very curious what their diagnosis is.
Response from the owner · April 28, 2026: Hello Tim, We are sorry you were not happy with your recent visit and our diagnosis of the creaking noise you are hearing. When the technician looked into your concern, he did notice on top of both leaf springs there is overspray and when he wiped the top of these with his finger it came out covered in undercoating. Applying undercoating to the leaf springs is not recommended. You were not charged for the techs time to inspect this concern. We are happy to hear you were satisfied with the maintenance you requested on your transmission and the alignment of the vehicle. We strive for 100% complete satisfaction with all our customers and would be happy to answer additional questions you may have. Please let us know if you need any additional help.
